GAAM Emergency Products introduces MK150 KUHP pump set into the Australian market
The GAAM MK150 pump set has been engineered and developed for tactical firefighting to meet the needs of emergency services. This new generation water-cooled diesel-powered fire fighting pump set has the capacity to supply both ultra-high-pressure and volume combined, as a single compact stand alone unit, which is a unique offering to industry.
The unit is powered by a Kubota D902 water-cooled diesel engine and features a 24-volt water-cooled diesel. The single-stage centrifugal pump set also features an alloy casing with bronze impeller and a stainless-steel shaft.
The ultra-high-pressure pump can be engaged or disengaged manually via an electromagnetic clutch while the volume pump is running. This feature eliminates the need to have separate standalone pump sets for ultra-high pressure and volume.
Firefighting pumps are used in extreme conditions and therefore must deliver pressure and flow as expected in all types of emergency fire situations. On volume, the field proven MK150 is no exception, delivering 1150 litres per minute at 200kPa pressure or 600 litres per minute at 700 kPa pressure, while the ultra-high-pressure pump when engaged will deliver up to 20 litres per minute at 100bar (10,000kPa) pressure.
GAAM is a specialist in the design and manufacture of firefighting pumps for the emergency services sector and its products have been trusted by Australian firefighters since 1933 to help bring fires under control.
