JBL has announced the expansion of its offerings with the launch of four standout products from JBL’s ‘Classic Series’: the SA550 Classic Integrated Stereo Amplifier, CD350 Classic CD Player, MP350 Classic Network Media Player, and the TT350 Classic Turntable. Each product seamlessly combines modern technology with classic design, echoing JBL’s rich 75-year legacy of delivering high-quality sound.
Nathan Brady, general manager, Amber Technology, said, “Amber Technology is proud to distribute JBL’s latest ‘Classic Series’ products, further enhancing our portfolio of high-quality sound equipment. These additions set a new benchmark in the audio equipment industry, combining avant-garde technology with luxurious design. We’re excited to offer these modern classics to our Australian customers.”
The JBL SA550 integrates a Class G amplifier topology, unlike most traditional amplifiers. Initially delivering 10-watts per channel in Class A topology for pure sound quality, it can switch to a higher voltage supply, delivering up to 150-watts per channel. Modern listeners will appreciate its adaptability, featuring the latest Bluetooth AptX Adaptive technology for high-resolution audio streaming. Alongside this, the SA550 embodies design elements reminiscent of the iconic 1960s JBL SA600 amplifier with walnut veneer side panels, providing both a nostalgic and modern audio experience.
Meanwhile, the JBL CD350 draws inspiration from the JBL SA600 amplifier of the 1960s. With its retro styling and walnut veneer side panels, the CD350 is the perfect accompaniment for classic Hi-Fi systems. Internally, it boasts advanced high-resolution digital technology for bit-perfect sound, supporting FLAC, WAV, and MP3 music files from DISC and USB.
The JBL MP350 Classic is another nod to the JBL SA600, designed for the 21st-century music enthusiast. This network media player supports a wide range of smartphones and tablets as well as popular streaming services. It allows instant playback via Apple Airplay2 or Google Chromecast and is compatible with Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Roon Ready. Its high-resolution DAC ensures optimal sound quality, making it a must-have for modern audiophiles.
The JBL TT350 Classic Turntable blends modern components with a vintage look. Key features of the TT350 include its timeless turntable design with a wooden base, belt-drive system with a DC motor ensuring silent and consistent operations, built-in phono preamp, three-speed operation accommodating a vast spectrum of vinyl records, removable headshell, adjustable counterweight, anti-skate control, and the inclusion of a high-calibre Audio-Technica magnetic cartridge.
